Job summary

Simplismart in Bengaluru, India is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer to design and build scalable architectures for production systems. You will own features end-to-end, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams to deliver polished user experiences.

You will lead decisions on state management, data fetching, and performance, develop shared components and design systems, and write clean, well-typed code.

Qualifications

• Proficient in React and TypeScript with modern frontend patterns.
• Experience with Next.js and App Router.
• Strong understanding of state management, data fetching, and caching strategies.
• Experience building component-driven UIs and design systems.
• Proficient in CSS-in-JS and responsive design.
• Experience writing tests for UI components and flows.
• Familiarity with authentication, error monitoring, and production debugging.

• Designing and building scalable, maintainable frontend architectures for production systems.
• Owning features end-to-end from technical design to polished user experience.
• Collaborating closely with product, design, and backend teams to turn ideas into high-quality interfaces.
• Leading decisions around state management, data flow, and performance trade-offs.
• Building and evolving shared components and design systems used across the product.
• Writing clean, well-typed, and well-tested code that's easy for others to understand and extend.
• Identifying performance bottlenecks and proactively improving frontend reliability and speed.
• Setting and upholding frontend best practices, code quality standards, and review culture.
• Debugging production issues efficiently and improving observability over time.
• Mentoring other engineers and contributing to a strong, thoughtful engineering culture.

Requirements

• You don't need to use every library under the sun, but you must understand the ecosystem deeply.
• Strong expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend patterns.
• Production experience with Next.js (App Router preferred).
• Deep understanding of state management, data fetching, and caching strategies.
• Experience building component-driven UIs and design systems.
• Strong command of CSS-in-JS / utility-first CSS and responsive design.
• Solid understanding of forms, validation, and complex UI flows.
• Comfortable with frontend performance optimization.
• Experience with testing UI components and flows.
• Familiarity with authentication, error monitoring, and production debugging.

Good To Have

• Experience with data-heavy UIs (tables, virtualization, dashboards).
• Exposure to charts, visualizations, or drag-and-drop interactions.
• Experience integrating AI-powered UI features.
• Prior experience as a Frontend Lead/UI Architect.
