Job summary

Alstom Transport India Ltd in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Lead Engineer to own verification and validation of urban signalling solutions, including U400 projects, ensuring safety and reliability across APAC.

You will collaborate with system architects, project managers, and test engineers to develop test procedures, analyze baselines, and drive system integration. Expect emphasis on factory testing coverage and documentation of artifacts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics & Communication Engineering.
  • Experience or understanding of railway signalling systems including CBTC, CBI, ATS, ATC, ERTMS, ETCS, or PTC.
  • Knowledge of system architecture and functional workflows.
  • Familiarity with virtualization concepts, networking, and communication systems.
  • Experience with testbench setup, simulation configuration, and V&V tools.
  • Exposure to Alstom or commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) products.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring comprehensive factory testing coverage to validate functional and safety requirements.
  • Designing and developing system test procedures aligned with metro signalling system requirements.
  • Performing system integration by deploying subsystem data and configuring simulation systems.
  • Executing system test procedures, analyzing results, and documenting test artifacts.
  • Investigating anomalies, performing root cause analysis, and raising change requests (CRs).
  • Preparing system validation reports and test synthesis documentation.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your verification and validation expertise in a cutting‑edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative, innovative, and dedicated teammates. You'll ensure the successful validation of our urban signalling solutions, making a tangible impact on the safety and efficiency of transport systems across the APAC region.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as system architects, project managers, and test engineers), analyze system baselines, and develop test procedures, and many more.

You’ll specifically take care of system‑level validation activities for U400 signalling projects, but also contribute to the seamless integration of subsystems and the resolution of technical anomalies.

We’ll look to you for:
