Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover India seeks an experienced power electronics system engineer for the Electrification Core team to design and specify in-house electronic charging systems for PHEV and BEV, with emphasis on reliability and robust performance.

You will apply best-in-class design and analysis techniques to deliver system specifications, and lead end-to-end software integration, validation, and testing across L1/L2 environments, aligning with ASPICE and ISO 26262 standards.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of power electronics switching, battery and charging modules hardware/software algorithms.
• Minimum 8 years of industry experience in Autosar software architecture (QM & ISO26262) and validation.
• Extensive experience in AUTOSAR and non-AUTOSAR software development using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Hands-on experience in AUTOSAR architecture for QM and ISO 26262 using SystemDesk/Architecture tools.
• Experience with software architecture validation, vECU generation (L1/L2) and integration testing.
• Familiarity with model-based systems engineering tools (CATIA Magic Systems) and ASPICE processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop integration test specifications for MBd/C components based on architecture requirements.
• Design automated integration tests using Synopsis (Silver) Virtual Test frameworks.
• Trace software architecture interfaces to test cases and ensure coverage.
• Define software architecture testing processes per ISO 26262 and ASPICE and maintain knowledge bases.
• Collaborate with developers and system engineers to understand functional requirements and models.
• Execute tests, debug issues and analyze results to ensure quality.
• Maintain and enhance test frameworks and CI/integration testing infrastructure.
• Document test cases, results, and coverage for architecture verification and validation.
• Participate in architecture and integration test strategy discussions.
• Ensure compliance with ASPICE SWE5, ISO 26262 and in-house Jaguar Land Rover standards.
• Contribute to design reviews with suppliers and teams and share knowledge on testing methodologies.

Brief Description about the role: The Electrification Core engineering team requires experienced power electronics system engineers to apply best in class design & analysis skills and derive system specifications, requirements for delivering Jaguar Land Rover's in-house electronic design, charging system for PHEV & BEV. Objective is to deliver levels of reliability and robustness exceeding anything that we have seen before.

Skills, experience and qualifications:

• Proven understanding of power electronics switching, Battery, charging modules hardware and software algorithms.
• Minimum 8 years of industry experience in Autosar software architecture (QM & ISO26262) and Validation
• Extensive experience in AUTOSAR and Non-AUTOSAR compliant software development using MATLAB/Simulink
• Extensive hands-on experience in development of AUTOSAR architecture for QM and ISO 26262 using System Desk/Architecture development Tools
• Hands on experience in Software composition Interface testing, timing and scheduling using Synopsis (Silver) Virtual Environment (L1, L2) or relevant Tools (Ex: Trace32).
• Experience in Software architecture validation, vECU generation(L1, L2)
• Hands-on experience in software integration and debugging
• Proficiency in requirements definition and requirements management tooling (TRM or similar)
• Experience of model-based systems engineering tools and techniques (ideally CATIA Magic Systems)
• Experience of different software validation tools such as Synopsis (Silver), Vector (CANoe) and ETAS (INCA)
• Understanding of systems engineering “V” life cycle, working experience with ASPICE process
• Experience in end-to-end software delivery
• Experience in version control tools like Tortoise SVN, Git
• Experience in Rally/Jira or similar project management tools
• Excellent communication and presentation skills. Experience of meeting deadlines.
• Strong people skills and the ability to work individually and in a cross functional team

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

• Develop Composition Software integration test specifications/test cases for MBD/C components based on software Architecture requirements and design documents.
• Design and implement automated Integration tests using Synopsis (Silver) Virtual (L1, L2) Test frameworks.
• Perform the traceability from software Architecture interface and test cases
• Define Software architecture testing process as per ISO 26262and ASPICE and maintain BOK (Body of Knowledge)
• Collaborate with software developers and system engineers to understand functional requirements and model behaviour.
• Perform test execution, debugging, and analysis of test results to identify issues and ensure quality.
• Maintain and enhance test frameworks and infrastructure for continuous integration and automated testing.
• Document test cases, results, and coverage metrics to support software Architecture verification and validation.
• Participate in software architecture and Integration test strategy discussions.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards such as ASPICE (SWE 5), ISO 26262, and JLR inhouse standards.
• Participating in design and quality reviews with internal / external suppliers and team
• Provide training/ knowledge sharing in software architecture testing methodologies and Automation.
