Job summary

Jaguar Land Rover India is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive interoperability testing and strategy for EV charging systems. You will lead cross-functional teams across regions, oversee global test campaigns, and ensure robust issue triage with data-driven analytics.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical leadership and strategy execution for charging interoperability across programs.
• Oversee global test campaigns including multi-market testing (UK, EU, NA, APAC).
• Drive end-to-end issue triage and root cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Define logging standards and evidence capture for all tests.
• Provide sign-off evidence for release readiness and issue escalation.
• Coordinate with product, engineering, validation, and external partners.

Required Skills & Experience :

Technical

• Deep expertise in EV charging systems & interoperability*
• Strong knowledge of: ISO 15118, DIN70121, IEC 61851*
• AC/DC charging systems*
• Strong diagnostic and root cause analysis capability*

Leadership

• Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
• Ability to operate at system integration level

Delivery

• Experience managing multi-region test programs
• Strong stakeholder and program management capability
• Experience with global interop campaigns and road-trip testing
• Exposure to EVSE / CPO ecosystem collaboration
• Knowledge of data-driven analytics for testing

Key Responsibilities

1) Technical Leadership & Strategy Execution

• -Lead execution of charging interoperability test strategy across all programs
• -Ensure all releases meet objectives of: High first-time charging success
• -Robust fallback behavior
• -Global compatibility across EVSE ecosystems
• -Define and govern test coverage across:
• Conformance testing (ISO 15118, DIN70121, IEC standards)
• Mini loop (release) testing
• DV / official loop validation

2) Test Delivery & Global Coordination

• Plan and oversee global testing campaigns, including Multi-market testing (UK, EU, NA, APAC)
• Parallel test activities across regions
• Ensure vehicles are tested across representative EVSE coverage (CPOs, power levels, standards)

3) Issue Diagnosis & Root Cause Leadership

• Lead end-to-end issue triage and root cause definition
• Drive rapid identification of failures using logs and diagnostics
• Coordinate cross-functional resolution across: Charging ECU teams
• Vehicle system teams
• Test partners and suppliers
• Ensure all issues are: Logged
• Prioritised
• Tracked to closure

4) Data, Logging & Evidence Governance

• Define and enforce logging standards and evidence capture for all tests
• Ensure consistent capture of:
• Vehicle / PLC / CAN logs
• EVSE interaction behaviour
• Drive the creation of: Interop reports
• Comparison trends across releases

5) Sign-off Authority & Release Support

• Own interoperability input into program sign-off decisions
• Provide clear evidence to support release readiness: Pass rates
• Known issues
• Act as escalation point for critical customer-impacting issues

6) Stakeholder Management

• Act as technical authority for interoperability across: Program teams
• Validation teams
• External suppliers
• Charging infrastructure partners
• Ensure alignment between product, engineering, and validation teams
• Improve test efficiency, coverage, and diagnostic capability
• Drive adoption of: Automation
• Data analytics
• AI-driven root cause analysis (aligned with your team direction)
