Job summary

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) invites a Senior Lead Rotary Engineer to oversee rotating machinery packages such as centrifugal and reciprocating gas compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, and centrifugal pumps. You will develop technical specifications, evaluate bids, and coordinate with vendors on complex projects.

The role requires a strong background in API 610/616/617/618/619, leadership abilities, and extensive FEED exposure in refinery or gas processing environments.

Qualifications

• Graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years related experience; typical range 18–25 years.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on engineer for machinery packages (centrifugal/reciprocating gas compressors, gas turbines, steam turbines, centrifugal pumps).
• Develop technical requirements, specifications and selection criteria for rotating equipment.
• Prepare datasheets, specifications, MRs; evaluate Technical Bid; coordinate with vendors and other disciplines.
• Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers; lead medium/large projects in machinery.
• Understand API standards for rotating equipment and related systems; be familiar with FEED for refineries and gas processing plants.

Lead Rotary Engineer Title: Lead Rotary Engineer KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

Responsibilities

• Shall be a hands-on engineer in any one of the machinery packages like Centrifugal and Reciprocating Gas Compressors, Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines and Centrifugal Pumps.
• Responsible for developing technical requirements, specification and selection of rotating machinery.
• Shall have excellent knowledge in API Standards specifically API 610, API-616, API-617, API-618 & API-619.
• Duties include preparation of datasheets, Specifications, Material Requisition, Evaluation of Technical Bid, Vendor document review and engineering coordination with vendors and other disciplines.
• Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers.
• Should have worked in Lead role in medium / large projects in machinery and related Equipment.
• Working knowledge of current API standards for rotating equipment, particularly centrifugal pumps, centrifugal compressors, Auxiliary systems, Steam and Gas turbines is a must.
• Basic understanding of PFDs & PIDs is necessary.
• Good exposure to working in FEED environment particularly for Refineries and Gas processing Plants is desirable.
• Brown field project experience is an added advantage.
• Shall have Strong leadership, negotiation, communication and people management skills.

Qualifications

• Qualifications including Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Skills are typically acquired through a graduation in Mechanical or allied Engineering and a minimum of 15 years related experience, with average experience ranging from 18- 25 years.
