Job summary

GE Vernova, in Bengaluru, seeks a Regional Application Engineer to lead opportunities, support front-line sales and drive services growth. You will provide technical solutions during pre-ITO, analyze plant performance and economics, and coordinate with sales teams to optimize bids.

Must have experience in application engineering, power plants, and knowledge of combined cycles; a Bachelor's degree is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in application engineering, power plants, performance engineering; value for gas power plant commissioning.
• Knowledge of GEV frames like B/E/F/HA and combined cycle.
• Advanced experience in Engineering/Technology & Regional Customer Applications; degree comparable to a Bachelor's.

Job Description Summary

As the Regional Application Engineer, the individual is expected to lead and own the opportunity, supporting front line sales and commercial teams to identify sales opportunities, convert leads to solutions, driving Services growth.

Roles and Responsibilities

• At a regional level - Provides technical expertise and develops technical solutions (configuration, performance estimation, economics, etc.) as part of the pre-ITO process while interfacing with the sales / commercial team. Possesses a deep understanding of power generation markets and customer economic value that aid winning bid strategies. Including 'ITO': Technical analysis of client need: definition and optimization of the products; scope; schedule; industrial scheme; cost, considering contract and internal policies and procedures. Calculation of plant, system and equipment performance and efficiency. Documentation of technical specifications & costing elements for further contract execution phases.
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute deal strategy.
• In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
• Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience in Application engineering, Power plant, Performance Engg, Gas power plant commissioning will be of value.
• Knowledge of GEV technology frames like B / E / F / HA and combined cycle.
• This role requires advanced experience in the Engineering/Technology & Regional Customer Applications. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
