Job summary

GE Vernova Bengaluru seeks an experienced mechanical engineer to own the design and analysis of stationary components across gas turbines, steam systems, generators, and accessories. You will drive validation, reliability, and performance through close cross‑functional collaboration.

The role requires 6+ years in mechanical engineering, proficiency with ANSYS and NX, and Python/Excel VBA for data analysis. You will mentor teammates, apply Lean principles, and ensure adherence to NPI design

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Mechanical, Design and Applied Mechanics.
• Minimum of 6 years of Engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Design & Analysis: Own & lead mechanical design and analysis (stress, modal, lifing) for Stationary components in gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessory systems.
• Technical Stewardship: Take ownership of mechanical hardware; perform validation testing; and evaluate designs for factors like thermal growth, manufacturing variation and assembly stack-up to ensure optimal product behavior.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Demonstrate System Level thinking while partnering with engineering experts, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to optimize sub-systems and components.
• Continuous Improvement: Lead root cause analyses (RCA) to improve reliability, quality, and yield. Apply Lean principles and trends from field learnings to streamline processes and drive innovation.
• Project Delivery: Owns milestones through formal/informal technical reviews, ensuring compliance with NPI processes and design practices.
• Mentorship: Foster a collaborative environment by coaching team members and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Principal and Chief Engineers.

What You'll Bring - Basic Qualifications:

• Master's or bachelor's in engineering with specialization in Mechanical, Design and Applied Mechanics
• Minimum of 6 years of Engineering experience.
