Job summary

Eaton Corporation in Pune is seeking a Lead Hardware Engineer focused on electronics hardware development for motor control products including VFDs and relays. You will lead technical projects, mentor teams, and drive hardware design from concept through prototyping and certification.

The role requires hands-on experience in PCB design, schematics, PCB layout, and power electronics, with a track record of delivering complex hardware for circuit protection devices.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in hardware architecture design, feature and performance specs.
• Experience in electronics design for motor control and power supply for VFDs, relays, MCBs, AFCI, GFCI, fusible switches, metering devices.
• Proficient in design for protective functions like breakers, fuses, relays, contactors per UL/IEC/NEC.
• Ability to technically lead product teams independently and collaborate cross‑functionally.
• Ability to influence decisions on complex technical issues and drive programs to closure.
• Extensive HW development life cycle experience: requirements, design, verification, validation, certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware engineering projects and mentor the product team on technical growth.
• Oversee hardware design and development to meet schedule and budget.
• Define strategy for technology trends and provide innovative, competitive solutions.
