Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Hardware Design
Engineer with 1 to 3 years of hands-on industry experience to join our core engineering
team. In this role, you will be owning the design, development, and validation of critical
hardware components and electronic subsystems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schematic & PCB Design: Independently own and execute multi-layer schematic
- capture and PCB layouts, adhering to industry best practices for high-speed routing, signal integrity, and manufacturing rules (DFM/DFA).
- Subsystem Bring-up & Verification: Drive the prototyping phase, board bring-up, hardware debugging, and verification of new hardware designs using standard laboratory equipment (DSOs, MSOs, logic analyzers, electronic loads, etc.).
- Simulation & Analysis: Perform circuit simulations, power integrity analyses, and thermal estimations using tools like LTspice, PSpice, or TINA to validate design margins prior to fabrication.
- Component Engineering: Component selection, Bill of Materials (BOM) optimization, and proactive component sourcing, striking an optimal balance between reliability, cost, lead times, and design longevity.
- Design Reviews & Compliance: Actively participate in and prepare documentation for technical design reviews. Implement structural circuit protection mechanisms (EMI/EMC filtering, ESD/TVS isolation) to meet strict industrial or automotive grade parameters.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate directly with embedded firmware and mechanical team members to perfectly align electrical interfaces, connector configurations, and physical enclosure constraints.
- Technical Documentation: Generate comprehensive engineering documentation, including hardware requirement specifications (HRS), verification test reports, and engineering change notices (ECN).
Qualifications & Technical Skills:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE), Electrical Engineering, or a strictly related field.
- Core Electronics: Strong foundation in circuit analysis, analog circuit design (op-amps, power topologies, regulators), digital circuits, and standard microcontroller architectures.
- EDA Tools: Proven professional proficiency in professional hardware design suites, such as Altium Designer, OrCAD, KiCAD, or equivalent EDA environments.
- Circuit Protection & EMI: Direct experience or clear exposure to implementing robust hardware protection circuits, including TVS protection, isolated communication lines (CAN, UART, SPI), and input EMI filters.
- Attributes: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, a keen eye for physical layout detail, clear technical communication skills, and an eagerness to innovate within highly collaborative teams.
