Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in Chennai seeks a Lead & Design engineer for ELV systems (FAS, ACS, BMS, EPABX, LAN/WAN, CCTV, PA). You will work across buildings from design through commissioning, coordinating with vendors and site teams.

Exposure to installation and testing is valued. Strong knowledge of protocols, networking, Windows OS, and 3D modelling will help drive successful system integration.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of communication protocols and interface with various systems.
• Experience with modern ELV systems and software configuration.
• Ability to configure multiple OEM servers.
• Ability to handle networking and Windows operating system.
• Involvement across design through QA, including FDS and DDS documentation.
• Experience with ELV and BMS system integration.
• Knowledge of 3D modelling and clash resolution.
• RFQ preparation and technical evaluation of vendors.
• Coordination with site team and client for approvals.

Responsibilities

• Lead design of ELV systems for buildings.
• Coordinate with clients, engineers and vendors for approvals.
• Interface with other system engineers/contractors for signoffs.
• Prepare RFQs and evaluate vendor deliverables.
• Ensure QA, installation, testing and commissioning procedures.
• Manage integration with BMS and related systems.

Job description

• Thorough Knowledge of Communication protocols & interface with various systems
• Working knowledge of modern ELV systems and should be able to do software configuration.
• Must be able to do configuration of multiple OEM servers
• Must be able to handle networking and Windows operating system.* Involvement throughout whole software/systems lifecycle, from design through coding to testing, installation and configuration, and documentation (working throughout to full QA procedures) specifically production of FDS, DDS .
• Must be able to handle ELV system and related BMS system integration.
• Must have knowledge on 3D modelling and resolving clashes.* Responsible for RFQ preparation, technical evaluation of related vendors & vendor deliverables.* Interface signoff with other system engineers/contractors* Responsible for getting statutory approvals* Responsible for coordination with site team* Co-ordinate with Client/Engineer/ Vendor and other contractors for technical discussion and getting final approval.
