Siemens AG in Chennai is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer to drive data center power distribution design, covering LV distributors, E-houses, and busduct systems. You will translate requirements into robust electrical designs and supervise the project’s technical teams.

You will coordinate with clients, quantify needs, and ensure designs meet specifications while guiding fellow engineers through detail engineering and factory testing. English proficiency is essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor or Master degree in electrical engineering.
• 8+ years of work experience as a (lead) engineer.
• Knowledge of low-voltage electrical distribution boards, distribution boards, transformers and electrical protective devices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to inspire others.
• Accurate, critical thinker with broad technical knowledge and interest.
• Flexible, practical, result‑oriented attitude.
• Stress-resistant and able to perform under pressure.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

You’ll make an impact by:

AI Strategy and Architecture.

• Creating basic designs and supervising detailed designs in the field of low and medium voltage distributors, E-houses and busduct systems.
• Understanding technical requirements from specifications and converting them into appropriate basic designs.
• Reviewing technical basic and detail designs.
• Ensuring that installations are designed and delivered in accordance with the specified requirements.
• Planning project work and preparing progress reports.
• Managing and supervising fellow engineers for detail engineering.
• Proactively liaising with the client and the sales and quotation team.
• Maintaining financial status and preparing additional work quotations.
• Organising and attending factory tests (FAT) with the customer.
• Managing any sub-suppliers and Siemens factories.
• Initiating and developing improvement proposals.
