Job summary

Hitachi Energy India Limited is looking for Lead Protection & Control engineer in Grid Automation to lead a team of design engineers for Protection & Control Panel Engineering in High Voltage, Transmission Substations. The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in Protection & Control Panel Engineering and experience in leading a team of design engineers.

Responsibilities

• Contract specification assessment and risk evaluation.
• Lead base design with cost-effective concepts per contract.
• Supervise engineering process and ensure complete drawings and docs.
• Lead technical resolutions with customers.
• Manage technical changes, risks and claims.
• Support bids to meet functional requirements and market competitiveness.
• Lead CRP drawing standardization and optimization for multiple customers.

The candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in Protection & Control Panel Engineering.

Job Description:

a. Contract Specification assessment (requirements, deviations, risks, opportunities)

b. Base design with all necessary concepts (cost effective solutions based on customer contract specification and technical offer)

c. Supervise the engineering process and documentation quality of the team of design engineers to ensure submission of drawings/documents technically complete in all respects, compared to

the project specification.

d. Lead technical resolution of solutions with customers and translating customer requirements into solutions of Hitachi

e. Active management of technical changes, risks & claims (only technical part)

f. Supporting bid & proposal to find solutions which meet the functional requirements of the customer and be competitive in the market

g. Leading CRP drawing standardization and solution optimization activities for set of customers.
