Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a skilled Controls Design Engineer to design, develop, and implement advanced controls and monitoring panels for Power transformers, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

You will craft detailed control designs, create electrical schematics, and layout control panels using AutoCAD Electrical and EPLAN, collaborating with mechanical, software, and project teams to ensure seamless integration and startup readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
• 4+ years of experience in controls or panel design, programming, and implementation in an industrial environment.
• Experience with electrical design software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).
• Solid knowledge of Electrical schematics; PID control and motor control principles.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Basic knowledge of IEEE, UL508 and NFPA70 standards.
• Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine detailed Controls design, including hardware and software specifications, for Power transformers.
• Create and maintain comprehensive electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel layouts using CAD software (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).

Your Background:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Automation Engineering, or a closely related field.

4+ years of experience in controls or panel design, programming, and implementation in an industrial environment.

Experience with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN).

Solid knowledge of Electrical schematics; PID control, and motor control principles.

Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and technical documentation.

Basic knowledge of IEEE, UL508 and NFPA70 standards.

Basic understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, Modbus TCP/IP).

Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Ability to travel to other Hitachi factories when required.
