Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited in Chennai seeks a seasoned CAE engineer to model vehicle components, perform linear and nonlinear static, modal, and transient analyses, and drive design improvements. You will assign thickness and material properties, build FE assemblies, and interpret results for engineering decisions.

Ideal candidates will have 7–10 years of experience, a M.Tech/M.E in Machine Design and a B.E in Mechanical, with strong fundamentals and a collaborative mindset to support the

Qualifications

• Knowledge of vehicle systems.
• Fundamentals in strength of materials and finite element methods.
• Experience in finite element modelling of vehicle components and systems.
• Ability to assign thickness and material properties to components.
• FE assemblies creation and understanding of connections (spot/seam welding).
• Ability to apply loads and boundary conditions for static analyses.
• Modal, frequency response, and transient analyses for components.
• Fatigue life estimation for vehicle structures and welds.
• Post-process results, create reports, and present to design team.
• Recommend design modifications based on analysis results and constraints.
• Knowledge of tests for vehicle systems and instrumentation.
• Correlate CAE results with physical test results.
