Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited [Automotive and Farm Equipment Business] seeks a Lead Engineer to own Audio Acoustics, sound quality development, and infotainment system integration for next‑gen connected vehicles.

You will lead the Audio Acoustics team, drive strategies for performance optimization, and collaborate across infotainment, electrical, mechanical, and vehicle integration teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive audio acoustics and infotainment system development.
• Proficiency in acoustic tuning, sound quality evaluation, and vehicle acoustic optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Dolby Atmos, CarPlay, A2B/TDM, NVH tools and simulation software.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Audio Acoustics team and provide technical direction throughout the lifecycle.
• Define strategies for audio performance optimization and acoustic comfort in vehicles.
• Develop and manage system requirements, technical specs, and TSOs for audio systems.
• Collaborate with infotainment, electrical, mechanical, and vehicle integration teams.
• Plan acoustic tuning, sound quality evaluation, and validation in lab and vehicle environments.
• Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Drive development and integration of advanced audio technologies with suppliers.
• Support vehicle programs from concept through SOP and post-SOP phases.

Are you passionate about delivering world-class in-vehicle audio experiences? Join our team and take ownership of Audio Acoustics Engineering, Sound Quality Development, and Infotainment Audio System Integration for next-generation connected vehicles.

Lead and mentor the Audio Acoustics team, providing technical direction throughout the product development lifecycle.

Define and drive strategies for audio performance optimization, sound quality enhancement, and acoustic comfort in vehicles.

Develop and manage System Requirement Documents (SRD), Technical Specifications, and TSO requirements for audio systems.

Collaborate with infotainment, electrical, mechanical, and vehicle integration teams to ensure seamless audio system development.

Plan and execute acoustic tuning, sound quality evaluation, and validation activities in both laboratory and vehicle environments.

Analyze test results, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve system performance.

Drive development and integration of advanced audio technologies and components in collaboration with suppliers and external partners.

Support vehicle programs from concept through SOP and post-SOP phases, resolving audio-related concerns and improving customer experience.

Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously enhance audio system capabilities and innovation.
