Job summary

Sasken Technologies Limited is hiring an Embedded Engineer – Protocol & Firmware (C/C++) to join the team onsite in Bangalore. The role focuses on developing embedded firmware and communication protocols, with hands-on MAC layer experience and protocol debugging skills.

You will work on low-level drivers, hardware interfaces, and WiFi/Bluetooth/LPWAN related stacks, collaborating closely with the customer location in Bangalore. 4–15 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in C/C++ and data structures.
• Strong understanding of embedded systems and C/C++ programming.
• Experience in Linux or RTOS environments.
• Strong protocol knowledge, esp MAC layer and above (L2/MAC, RRC, LLC).
• Familiar with protocol debugging tools such as Wireshark.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware and communication protocols.
• Design, implement, and debug protocol stacks and embedded systems.
• Work on low-level drivers and hardware interfaces.
• Troubleshoot, optimize performance, memory and system efficiency.
• Collaborate with customer location team in Bangalore.

Job Title: Embedded Engineer – Protocol & Firmware (C/C++)

Experience – 4 years to 15 years

Location:

Bangalore (Onsite – Customer Location, 5 days/week)

About the Role

We are hiring Embedded Engineers with experience in Protocol and/or Firmware development to work from the customer location in Bangalore. The role requires strong expertise in C/C++ programming, embedded systems, and communication protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded firmware and communication protocols
• Work on wireless technologies such as:
• WiFi
• Bluetooth
• LoRa / LPWAN
• Design, develop, and debug protocol stacks and embedded systems
• Work on low-level drivers and hardware interfaces
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues
• Optimize performance, memory, and system efficiency

Required Skills

Mandatory:

• Strong programming skills in C / C++ esp Data Structures.
• Good understanding of Embedded Systems
• Experience with Linux or RTOS environments
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Aware of using AI tools.
• Strong Protocol Knowledge, especially MAC Layer and above – hands‑on experience with L2/MAC, RRC, and LLC
• Experience with protocol-level debugging tools such as Wireshark

Preferred:

• Experience with any communication protocol:
• Knowledge of hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART)
