General Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Read abstract problem definitions, define problem statements, design and ensure that goals of our end users and technology are met.
• Work with multiple teams to determine and understand requirements and implement resolutions to technical issues.
• Lead and mentor junior members in the team. Guide them periodically on project goals and deliverables.
• Design and develop processing frameworks running on Android, Linux, and other High Level Operating Systems as well as on embedded, real-time AI Processors.
• Test and validate solutions for quality, performance, and power.
• Explore opportunities outside of Mobile, including Automotive, IoT, XR, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• Engineers with ideally 6+ years of professional experience in the following areas are welcome to apply:
  • Strong knowledge of modern C++ and C; experience with other object-oriented languages a plus
  • Good understanding of software development principles and practices, object-oriented design
  • Familiar with computer/hardware architecture and operating systems
  • Real-time software development concepts
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills
• Self-motivated and driven, with the ability to work with multiple teams.
• The candidate is expected to follow excellent software development practices and processes.

Preferred Qualifications

• Working experience with modern C++ and C
• Working experience with Python in OOP manner
• Experience with Linux development
• Experience with embedded software development
• Understanding of Android Native/HAL and multimedia frameworks (MediaCodec, Android Graphics, Camera HAL) a plus
• Knowledge of Linux driver development
• Experience with high-performance computing
• Understanding of machine learning, computer vision, and digital image/signal processing is a plus

Education

• Required: Bachelor's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
• Preferred: Master's, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
  • or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 2+ years of academic or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
