Job summary

Qualcomm is looking for a seasoned software engineer to lead and drive software programs on Qualcomm chips for Linux-based IoT projects in Hyderabad, India. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of strong experience in C/C++ development, a deep understanding of the Linux kernel, and a robust background in embedded systems.

This role requires excellent communication and analytical skills, along with the ability to work with large cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in relevant fields is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive software program on Qualcomm chips for Linux based IOT projects.
• Strong engineering experience, hands on development, debugging with end-to-end software life cycle experience.
• Strong embedded systems background, C/C++ coding experience, HW chipset and HW platform experience from software.
• Experience with Linux software stack, drivers, frameworks across different tech areas building to an end-to-end software product.
• Ability to work with large cross functional and distributed teams, drive engineering features and deliverables leading to an end-to-end software product.
• Interface engineering with customers, business teams from requirements and commercialization support.
• Strong front ending skills for the program and teams.

Requirements

• Bachelors/Masters degree in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 15+ Years of experience with strong development in C/C++ and good programming skills.
• Strong communication skills and analytics skills.
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel and internals.
• Strong understanding of SOC systems and related concepts, including bring-up.
• Strong hands‑on experience with full software development life cycle including design, implementation, deployment and support.
• Strong aptitude, quick learner, self‑motivated, willing to explore and work across breadth of various technology areas.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 6+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering or related work experience.
• 3+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
