Job summary

JobItUs in Bengaluru is seeking a Lead Electrical Designer to drive end-to-end electrical design and execution for new outlet setups and site upgrades. You will standardize designs, prepare SLDs, and coordinate with vendors, consultants and project teams to deliver safe, cost-efficient solutions.

You will lead design reviews, ensure compliance with safety norms and codes, and support installation and commissioning with strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD and power/layout design.

Qualifications

• 7-9 years of experience in electrical design and drawing preparation, preferably in commercial projects (retail, hospitality, malls, etc.).
• Strong hands-on experience in AutoCAD 2D.
• Expertise in load calculations, SLD, lighting and power layouts, and cable/switchgear sizing.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design and drawing preparation for new projects, renovations, and retrofits.
• Prepare and review Main Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and detailed electrical layouts.
• Design and develop power layouts, lighting layouts, CCTV, and data layouts.
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, switchgear sizing, and UPS/battery sizing as per standards.
• Design and finalize SPN and TPN Distribution Boards (DBs).
• Prepare and validate electrical BOQs/BOM and project CAPEX.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal project teams for design approvals and execution.
• Review vendor drawings and ensure alignment with project requirements and standards.
• Participate in project review meetings and provide technical inputs.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, codes, and regulations.
• Support execution teams in resolving design-related issues during installation and commissioning.
