Job summary

Talent Hired-the Job Store seeks an experienced electrical design leader to drive HV battery pack development for EVs and energy storage. You will own electrical architecture, wiring harness design, busbar design, and integration from concept to SOP under the Lead Battery Pack R&D.

The role requires automotive electrical design expertise with EV battery packs and leadership experience to deliver robust, cost-optimized solutions across disciplines and with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive electrical design and product development for EV battery packs.
• Core expertise in wiring harness, power distribution and BMS integration.
• Experience leading an electrical design team.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Electrical Design team; drive concept-to-SOP electrical design; define standards and guidelines.
• Define pack electrical architecture, distribution strategy and interface requirements; design HV and LV circuits.
• Support integration of cells, modules, BMS, current sensors, contactors, fuses, relays, pre-charge circuits, HVIL and protection devices.
• Lead wiring harness design: architecture, cable sizing, routing, protection, retention, drawings, connector interfaces and manufacturing documentation.
• Ensure vibration, temperature, ingress, EMC and durability compliance.
• Lead selection and validation of connectors, terminals, cables, fuses, relays, contactors, sensors and HV components; support supplier assessment; drive standardization and cost optimization.
• Lead busbar design: materials, sizing, current capability, thermal performance, insulation and joining.
• Review electrical schematics, layouts and harness drawings; support Ansys analysis; ensure design data integrity.
• Drive DFM and DFA, prototype builds, pilot production and SOP readiness.
• Support DVP&R and electrical, thermal, vibration and EMC validation; apply APQP and DFMEA; analyze failures and drive corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Battery Systems, Mechanical Design, BMS, Validation, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement and Vehicle Integration; engage harness vendors and connector manufacturers.

Role & responsibilities

Position Summary

Lead electrical design and development of HV battery packs for EVs and energy storage systems: electrical architecture, wiring harness design, component selection, busbar design, integration and virtual validation, from concept to SOP. The role reports to the Lead Battery Pack R&D.

Experience framing: automotive electrical design and product development, with a core portion in EV battery pack, wiring harness, power distribution, BMS integration or automotive electrical systems, and experience leading an electrical design team.
