Job Description:
This is a senior national leadership role responsible for driving the growth and expansion of Oxford University Press India’s digital products across the country. The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the digital acquisition strategy at scale and play a critical role in OUP’s digital transformation journey in the K‑12 education space.
For seasoned sales and business leaders, this role represents a positive career move into a high‑impact, strategic position with responsibility for building sustainable digital revenue streams and long‑term partnerships with schools and education stakeholders. The role aligns closely with OUP’s mission of advancing knowledge and learning by enabling wider adoption of high‑quality digital solutions in education.
The role is dynamic and engaging, combining national‑level strategy, team leadership, market engagement, and close collaboration with product, marketing, and sales teams. You will work in a fast‑evolving digital ecosystem, influence product direction, and lead initiatives that directly impact customer satisfaction and business growth.
In this role, you will provide leadership and strategic direction to the Digital Acquisition team and be responsible for generating new business and revenue from OUPI’s digital product portfolio. You will own and drive national digital sales goals, ensuring consistent achievement of acquisition targets across regions.
You will lead and manage a team of regional Digital Acquisition managers, building their capability, addressing gaps in product knowledge, and enabling high‑performance outcomes. A key part of the role is developing and executing effective Go‑To‑Market plans to support digital sales objectives.
On a day‑to‑day basis, you will drive revenue through active funnel management, lead generation, product demonstrations and presentations, negotiations, and closures for fresh revenue. You will ensure smooth onboarding of digital products and services in adoption schools and work towards building medium‑to‑long‑term partnerships with new school customers through integrated services offerings.
You will stay up to date with market trends and competitor activity, provide actionable feedback for product development, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and a strong user base. The role involves engaging closely with key decision‑makers in schools, school chains, school bodies and associations, and government departments of school education to explore and convert new opportunities.
Additionally, you will provide data points to support strategic decision‑making, conduct workshops, seminars, parent orientations, and other engagement initiatives for client schools, and maintain strong inter‑departmental collaboration for key business decisions. You will also organise internal training programmes to equip sales colleagues with the required process understanding and product knowledge, while consistently upholding the highest standards of ethics and values.
