Job summary

Tesco Bengaluru seeks a Subject Matter Expert (Mech Engg) to develop and maintain mechanical engineering standards across group engineering, driving continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with business code.

You will work with partners, benchmark industry standards, and share best practices across Tesco markets while advancing engineering design guidelines and BIM modelling for site and store projects.

Qualifications

• Graduate/ Diploma in Mechanical engineering (HVAC/ PHE) with sound construction/ Installation experience.
• Building Engineering design/installation.
• Building Engineering Modelling.
• BIM: Revit, Autocad, Naviswork.
• Interpret Engineering drawings.
• Bill of Quantities.
• Interpret Architectural/ Construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Drive and implement Continuous Improvement Projects and innovation for their teams.
• Maintains relationships with multiple partners.
• Explore opportunities for improving standards & cost savings by sharing best practices across different Tesco markets, benchmarking against industry standards, innovating & collaborating with other functions, consultants & vendors.
• Develop engineering design guidelines, templates, WGLLs documents & examples, ways of working etc., that the team can apply to specific site/store.
