Job summary

Jindal Renewables seeks a Lead Design Engineer (Civil/Mechanical) in Gurugram to support civil and mechanical engineering designs for renewable energy projects. You will ensure technically sound, cost-effective, constructible and compliant deliverables within project timelines.

Responsibilities include preparing layouts, reviewing vendor submissions, coordinating across functions, and maintaining engineering records. 8-12 years in civil/mechanical design with BE/BTech is required.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
• 8-12 years of relevant design engineering experience.
• Experience in Renewable Energy / Solar / Wind / BESS / Power / EPC / Infrastructure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review civil/mechanical layouts, GA drawings, equipment arrangements, foundation requirements, structural interfaces and BOQs.
• Develop engineering designs for Solar, Wind, BESS and Hybrid projects.
• Review equipment layouts, foundation/interface requirements, access roads, platforms, drainage and other civil-mechanical interfaces, as applicable.
• Review vendor drawings, datasheets, technical specifications and engineering submissions.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Procurement, Project Execution, Power Evacuation and OEM/vendor teams.
• Ensure designs comply with applicable IS/IEC standards, project specifications and statutory requirements.
• Support design calculations, constructability reviews, value engineering and design optimization.
• Provide technical support during procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Identify design gaps, resolve technical queries and ensure timely closure of engineering comments.
• Maintain engineering documentation, drawing revisions, design trackers and technical records.

Role Purpose
