Job description

Role:

We are seeking a strategic and technically strong Cloud Lead to drive our cloud infrastructure initiatives, architecture modernization, and platform scalability. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in cloud engineering, strong leadership qualities, and the ability to influence and deliver in a cross-functional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a multi-year cloud strategy aligned with business goals.
• Design and implement secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architecture.
• Lead cloud migration projects and modernize legacy infrastructure.
• Manage cloud operations, cost optimization, and performance monitoring.
• Ensure cloud security compliance and risk mitigation.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices.
• Establish and enforce governance policies including tagging, access control, and resource standards.
• Mentor and lead cloud engineers, fostering team growth and technical excellence.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, Finance, and Product teams to align cloud initiatives.
• Track and report cloud KPIs to senior leadership.
• Azure IaaS and PaaS Azure VMs, DNS, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, Azure DDoS, AKS, Azure SQLDB, Azure Storage, ADLS, Synapse, Front Door, Traffic Manager.
• Azure networking ExpressRoute, Virtual Network, Hub / Spoke VNET, BGP, UDR, Palo Alto, Private Link, privateendpoint, serviceendpoint, Network Watcher.
• Azure securityNSG, ASG, securitypolicies, role-basedaccessmanagement.
• Azure HA and DRASR, regions, Availability Zone, Availability Set, Scale Set, PPG.
• Windows and Linux OS platforms.
• Architecture design and engineering practices, technology standards and patterns.
• Scope, plan, design, and implement complex infrastructure solutions.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines, Azure CI/CD Pipelines, branching standards, and coding standards for cloud infrastructure.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain Ansible playbooks, PowerShell scripts, Terraform, and ARM templates.

Required Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, with hands‑on expertise in Azure (or AWS/GCP).
• Strong knowledge of networking, security, virtualization, and containerization.
• Experience with tools like Terraform, Ansible, Azure DevOps, or Jenkins.
• Proven ability to manage and optimize cloud budgets (FinOps).
• Hands‑on experience with identity and access management, encryption, and compliance standards.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Certifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
• Security Certification (SC-100, SC-200, CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent)
