Hewlett Packard Enterprise invites you to join our Hybrid Cloud team as Lead Cloud Developer for BMaaS. You will oversee design, development, and integration of cloud subsystems, guiding a project team through architecture, coding, testing, and delivery to build scalable platforms.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience, a Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS/Engineering/IS, and strong Go Lang, Terraform, and Kubernetes skills.

Job Description:

In the HPE Hybrid Cloud, we lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for all of HPE. This includes managing the design, development, and product portfolio of our next-generation cloud platform, Green Lake. Working with customers, we help them reimagine their information technology needs to deliver a simple, consumable solution that helps them drive their business results. What you’ll do:

Leads the project team for design and development of complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration for building efficient, scalable and robust cloud subsystems.

Reviews and evaluates designs, test plans, and develops code for compliance with cloud design and development guidelines and standards.

Provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate risks.

Represents the engineering team in various technical forums and provides guidance and mentoring to less-experienced team members.

Drives innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.

Analyzes science, engineering, business, and other data processing problems to develop and implement solutions to complex application problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.

Education and Experience Required: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or closely related quantitative discipline. Typically, 7-10 years’ experience.

What you need to bring:

• Provisioning Development: Proficiency in GO Lang, Bash/PowerShell for developing server provisioning, configuration, and image deployment.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Experience with Terraform or Ansible to manage and automate infrastructure deployment.
• Operating Systems & Networking: Deep knowledge of Linux, networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, PXE, DHCP), and firewall configurations.
• Storage Understanding: Configuration of Local Storage, RAID levels, and Logical Volume Management (LVM).
• Network Provisioning: Setting up network connectivity, including PXE booting and PXE servers.
• Hardware Knowledge: Understanding of server hardware, RAID levels, logical volume management (LVM), and IPMI/BMC.
• Experience with HPE iLO is preferred.
• Cloud & Virtualization: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies (KVM, OpenVZ) for hybrid deployments.
• Containers and Devops: Understanding microservice architecture and how they can be built in a containerized, Kubernetes-managed environment, CI/CD using GitHub Actions.
• Security: Knowledge of SSH, access control lists (ACLs), and secure coding practices.
• Monitoring & Logging: Implementing tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK for system tracking
• Designing and integrating software systems running on multiple platform types into the overall architecture.
• Evaluating forms and processes for software systems testing and methodology, including writing and executing test plans, debugging, and testing scripts and tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate product architectures and design proposals at senior management levels.
