Job summary

Altrus AI in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced Consultant (Business Analyst) to help transform Property & Casualty insurance platforms. You will lead workshops with business users and translate operational needs into clear use cases and process flows.

The role requires 6+ years in P&C insurance, 2+ years as a BA, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Office and SharePoint. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in P&C/General Insurance, across insurers, consultancies, or SI.
• 2+ years as a Business Analyst doing process analysis, specification writing and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of P&C lines such as Motor, Property, Liability or Commercial.
• Experience setting up insurance products in a core insurance package.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills.
• An undergraduate degree or diploma.

Responsibilities

• Run workshops with business users to capture functional and non-functional requirements.

• Run gap analysis on core insurance systems and propose solutions to close the gaps.
• Work hands-on with product configuration tools, turning P&C product specs into system configurations.
• Analyse data relationships, dependencies and processes, and map them into future system requirements.
• Spot and flag business risks early so they don’t carry over into the delivered system.
• Collaborate with development and testing teams so specifications are clearly understood.
• Help build business and system test plans, and facilitate client UAT.
• Produce high-quality documentation and progress reports for Lead Consultants and Project Managers.

What you bring

• 6+ years in P&C / General Insurance, whether at an insurer, a consultancy or a system integrator
• 2+ years as a Business Analyst doing process analysis, specification writing and documentation
• Strong knowledge of P&C lines such as Motor, Property, Liability or Commercial, and the underwriting and claims processes behind them
• Experience setting up insurance products in a core insurance package
• Excellent written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
• Advanced MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and SharePoint skills
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• An undergraduate degree or diploma

Nice to have

• Insurance industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AINS, III)
• Membership of a relevant professional body

You’ll work with client business leaders and project teams on real insurance transformation programmes, and build deep expertise in modern, configurable insurance platforms.
