Job summary

Crown Solutions is seeking an experienced Business Analyst in the Insurance domain for a 6-month contract in Bengaluru. You will work on claims, policy administration, FNOL, underwriting, and billing, driving requirement gathering, process analysis, and agile delivery.

7–10 years of experience is preferred; CTC is around 12 LPA and interviews may be virtual. Responsibilities include mapping AS-IS/TO-BE processes, creating SOPs, user stories, and coordinating with architecture for integrations

• Strong knowledge of Insurance Claims and Policy Administration processes.
• Techno-functional Business Analysis experience.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Expertise in requirement gathering and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Define, analyze, and optimize end-to-end insurance and claims processes.
• Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE process mapping using BPMN or similar methodologies.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
• Create business rules, process documents, workflow diagrams, and SOPs.
• Translate requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Coordinate with Dev/QA for solution design and API data flows.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Process Analysis

• Define, analyze, and optimize end-to-end insurance and claims processes.
• Conduct AS-IS and TO-BE process mapping using BPMN or similar methodologies.
• Identify process gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
• Create business rules, process documents, workflow diagrams, and SOPs.

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

• Conduct workshops with SMEs, Product Owners, and business stakeholders.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.
• Document functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, and business logic.
• Ensure alignment with product vision, compliance requirements, and system capabilities.

Techno-Functional Collaboration

• Provide techno-functional support to Development and QA teams.
• Validate user story feasibility and support solution design discussions.
• Work with architects on APIs, data flows, integrations, and system behavior.
• Support data analysis, reporting requirements, and interface specifications.

Agile Delivery & Testing

• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Support QA teams in preparing test scenarios and validating requirements.
• Coordinate UAT, defect tracking, and business sign-off activities.
• Provide post-production support and documentation updates.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst/Process Analyst in Insurance and Claims.
• Strong understanding of underwriting, policy servicing, billing, claims adjudication, and FNOL processes.
• Expertise in process mapping, workflow analysis, and business process optimization.
• Strong experience in requirement elicitation, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar tools.
• Understanding of system integrations, APIs, data flows, and insurance ecosystems.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Guidewire, Duck Creek, or similar Insurance platforms.
• Knowledge of Insurance regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, ECBA, PSM, CSM, LOMA, or AINS.
• Exposure to APIs, SQL, and data analysis techniques.
