Job summary

Talent Hired-the Job Store is seeking a senior software leader to drive the development, integration and validation of BMS application software for lithium-ion battery packs used in EVs, energy storage and advanced mobility. You will own software architecture, algorithms and safety-compliant delivery, reporting to the Head BMS.

You will lead embedded teams, guide MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow development, ensure ISO 26262 compliance, and coordinate with hardware and system engineering to deliver

Qualifications

• Embedded software development with a focus on BMS.
• Experience leading software teams and projects.
• Strong C programming and model-based development.
• ISO 26262 functional safety software development.
• Ability to lead end-to-end architecture and mentorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end BMS application software development; define architecture and functional decomposition; mentor engineers.
• Lead development and optimization of SOX, capacity estimation, cell balancing, thermal management, and fault diagnostics.
• Develop with MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow; support auto-code generation; perform model reviews.
• Ensure ISO 26262 compliance and support ASIL-level software development; participate in FMEA and FTA.
• Coordinate with System Engineering, Hardware, Testing and Vehicle Integration; engage customers and suppliers.

Role & responsibilities

Position Summary

Lead development, integration and validation of BMS application software for lithium-ion battery packs used in EVs, energy storage and advanced mobility. Own software architecture, algorithm development, team leadership and safety-compliant delivery. The role reports to the Head BMS.

Experience framing: embedded software development, with a core portion in BMS software development and experience leading software teams.

5. Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end BMS application software development; define architecture and functional decomposition; mentor engineers.
• Lead development and optimization of SOX, capacity estimation, cell balancing, thermal management, thermal runaway detection, power prediction, charge management, contactor management, and fault management and diagnostics.
• Develop with MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow; support auto-code generation with Embedded Coder; perform model reviews; define coding and modeling guidelines.
• Ensure ISO 26262 compliance and support ASIL-level software development; take part in HARA, FMEA and FTA.
• Ensure compliance with applicable EV standards.
• Lead software integration with BSW, CDD and hardware platforms; define the verification and validation strategy; support MIL, SIL, HIL and vehicle validation.
• Analyze field issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with System Engineering, Hardware, Testing and Vehicle Integration; engage customers and suppliers; track milestones.
