Job summary

ACG World is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead encapsulation-related application engineering and development projects in Mumbai. You will drive innovation, manage scopes, timelines and costs, and ensure adherence to quality systems across design, assembly, QA and automation teams.

With 8–12 years of experience, you will apply 3-D modelling skills (Solid Edge/SolidWorks) and PLM knowledge to create cost-effective, safe and customer-aligned solutions, while supporting aftersales

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree required.
• 8–12 years of experience in mechanical design and project leadership.
• Experience with 3-D modeling and PLM systems preferred.
• Knowledge of SAP MM/Design modules is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Driving and developing innovation projects using best engineering principles and techniques.
• Project management including scope, time, cost and documentation control for each project.
• Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and CAD.
• Ensure compliance with laid down systems and procedures and develop best-in-class processes.
• Collaborate with Assembly, QA and Automation/Controls teams for successful implementation of customized and development projects.
• Partner with customers/sales to understand requirements and, if required, participate in techno-commercial discussions to convert enquiries into orders.
• Resolve technical challenges during assembly/in-house validation to meet delivery commitments using SPQC tools.
• Support aftermarkets and spares for resolution during installation and commissioning.
• Ensure successful Beta validation of NPD projects.
• Lead continuous improvement projects such as GMI, Derisking and process simplification for design department.

Responsible for leading the Encapsulation section application engineering and development projects at PAM K.

B.Primary responsibilities

• 1.Driving and Developing innovation projects using best engineering principles and techniques
• 2.Project Management – encompassing Scope, Time, Cost & Documentation control for every project.

C.Key Result Areas

• 1.Technically competent and proficient at understanding machines. Conversant with engineering practices, design, manufacturing and assembly.
• 2. Proficient knowledge of engineering concepts, Pneumatic and Basic electrical and electronics related to Machine building.
• 3.Understanding of Solid dosage formulation and its properties is preferred for efficient implementation in designs of Application engineering projects.
• 4.Working knowledge of 3-D modeling software (preferably Solid Edge / Solid Works). PLM software such as Team center is preferable.
• 5.Strong analytical & mathematical skills
• 6.Should have experience and approach towards Aesthetics, cost effectiveness, operator friendliness, safety standards implementation in design.
• 7.Project planning & costing capabilities.
• 8.Knowledge of SAP Design & MM module (preferable).
