Job summary

ACG in Mumbai is seeking a capable engineer to lead the Encapsulation section application engineering and development projects, driving innovation and applying best engineering principles. You will manage project scope, time, and cost while ensuring documentation control and compliance with procedures.

Collaborate with Assembly, QA and Automation teams for successful implementation, engage with Sales for requirements, address technical challenges, and support aftermarkets during installation and

Qualifications

• Technically competent and proficient at understanding machines.
• Pneumatic systems and basic electrical/electronics knowledge for machine building.
• Understanding of solid dosage formulation and its properties is preferred.
• Experience with 3D modelling software (Solid Edge/ SolidWorks) and PLM like Teamcenter recommended.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Consideration for aesthetics, cost effectiveness, operator friendliness, and safety in design.
• Project planning and costing capabilities.
• Knowledge of SAP Design & MM modules is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Lead Encapsulation section application engineering and development projects.
• Drive and develop innovation projects using best engineering principles and techniques.
• Project Management covering scope, time, cost and documentation control for every project.
• Use research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, including mathematical modelling and CAD.
• Ensure compliance with systems and procedures; develop best-in-class processes.
• Collaborate with Assembly, QA and Automation/Controls teams for successful implementation.
• Engage with customer/sales to understand requirements and participate in techno-commercial discussions when needed.
• Resolve technical challenges during assembly/in-house validation to meet delivery commitments.
• Support aftermarkets and spares during installation and commissioning to ensure timely execution.
• Ensure successful Beta validation of NPD projects.
• Lead continuous improvement projects such as GMI, Derisking, process simplification for design department.

Job description

Role & responsibilities:

Responsible for leading the Encapsulation section application engineering and development projects.

Driving and Developing innovation projects using best engineering principles and techniques

Project Management encompassing Scope, Time, Cost & Documentation control for every project.

Using research, analytical, conceptual and planning skills, particularly mathematical modelling and computer-aided design.

Ensure compliance with laid down systems and procedures. Develop best-in-class processes.

Collaborate with Assembly, QA and Automation/Controls team to for successful implementation of customized and development projects

Partner with customer/sales to understand requirement and if required involved in Techno commercial discussion with customer to convert potential enquiries into commercial orders.

Resolve technical challenges observed during assembly/in house validation to meet delivery commitments with use of problem solving techniques and SPQC tools.

Support aftermarkets and spares for resolution of challenges during installation, commissioning to ensure timely installation & commissioning.

Ensuring successful Beta validation of NPD projects.

Lead continuous improvement projects such as GMI, Derisking, Process simplification for design department.

Preferred candidate profile

• 1. Technically competent and proficient at understanding machines. Conversant with engineering practices, design, manufacturing and assembly.
• 2. Proficient knowledge of engineering concepts, Pneumatic and Basic electrical and electronics related to Machine building.
• 3. Understanding of Solid dosage formulation and its properties is preferred for efficient implementation in designs of Application engineering projects.
• 4. Working knowledge of 3-D modeling software (preferably Solid Edge/ Solid Works). PLM software such as Team center is preferable.
• 5. Strong analytical & mathematical skills.
• 6. Should have experience and approach towards Aesthetics, cost effectiveness, operator friendliness, safety standards implementation in design.
• 7. Project planning & costing capabilities.
• 8. Knowledge of SAP Design & MM module (preferable).
