Job summary

HighSpring India LLP is seeking a Lead Analyst to drive Global Finance Operations focused on General Ledger and Record to Report. You will oversee end-to-end GL/R2R processes, ensure timely month-end closings, and collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to maintain accuracy in financial reporting.

The role demands strong Excel skills, experience with Oracle ERP, and a proactive approach to process improvements and system improvements.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in General Ledger Accounting and R2R processes.
• Expertise in Month-End Closing, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Journal Entries, and Accrual Accounting.
• Good understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, and variance analysis.
• Experience in account reconciliations, aged open item resolution, and financial controls.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, financial data analysis, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) Accounting and Record-to-Report (R2R) activities.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, amortization, allocations, and reclassifications.
• Handle PO and Non-PO accruals, including calculations and trend-based analysis.
• Perform Balance Sheet Reconciliations (BSR), investigate aged open items, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies.
• Support financial consolidation, group reporting, and entity-level financial analysis.
• Prepare monthly closing reports, financial statements, and variance analysis to ensure accurate reporting.
• Process statistical journal entries and account for community benefit expenditures.
• Extract, analyze, and validate financial data to resolve complex accounting issues.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing GL-related schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

About the Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Lead Analyst Global Finance Operations with strong expertise in General Ledger (GL) Accounting, Record to Report (R2R), Month-End Closing, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Accruals, and Financial Reporting.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing accounting operations, performing reconciliations, and collaborating with global stakeholders to maintain financial accuracy and meet reporting deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end General Ledger (GL) Accounting and Record-to-Report (R2R) activities.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

• Expertise in Month-End Closing (MEC), Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Journal Entries, and Accrual Accounting.
• Good understanding of financial reporting, consolidations, and variance analysis.
• Experience in account reconciliations, aged open item resolution, and financial controls.
• Strong proficiency in MS Excel, financial data analysis, and reporting.
• Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional finance teams.
• Ability to manage multiple accounting activities while meeting strict deadlines.

Preferred Skills

Educational Qualification & Experience

• CA / CPA: 25 years of relevant experience in General Ledger Accounting / R2R.
• CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com / Semi-Qualified CA: 58 years of relevant experience in General Ledger Accounting / R2R.
