Job summary

Vensure Employer Solutions in Dadri (Uttar Pradesh) is seeking a detail-oriented GL Accounting Associate to support the US accounting team with US GAAP accounting, GL management, month-end close and financial reporting.

You will prepare journal entries, reconcile balances, analyze variances, and assist with audits. Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite) and advanced Excel is required; CPA/CMA pursuing is a plus. This is a fast-paced role with tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or related field.
• 1–4 years in General Ledger accounting, preferably US entities.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/NetSuite/Workday).
• Analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries per US GAAP.
• Conduct monthly, quarterly, and annual GL close activities.
• Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.

Job description

We are looking for a detail-oriented GL Accounting Associate with hands-on experience in US GAAP accounting, General Ledger management, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting. The candidate will support the US accounting team and ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in compliance with US accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with US GAAP.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual General Ledger close activities.
• Conduct balance sheet and bank account reconciliations.
• Analyze GL accounts and resolve discrepancies or unusual variances.
• Support accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany transactions.
• Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting and audits.
• Maintain accounting records and ensure compliance with internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather accounting information and resolve issues.
• Assist with external and internal audit requests.
• Support process improvement initiatives and documentation of accounting procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or related field.
• 1–4 years of experience in General Ledger accounting, preferably supporting US entities.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or Workday.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a shared services/BPO/KPO environment supporting US clients.
• Exposure to month-end close and financial statement preparation.
• CPA/CMA pursuing or equivalent certification is a plus.
