Job summary

Recro is seeking a Lead AI Engineer in Bengaluru to drive end-to-end AI product delivery. The role requires hands-on experience with Generative AI and Agentic AI, plus at least 7+ years in AI/DS and 1+ year of people leadership.

You will mentor a team of AI/Data Science professionals and oversee production-grade AI applications. Ideal candidates have strong expertise in prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, vector search, and orchestration, with familiarity in Azure AI services and Copilot

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML.
• Leadership experience: 1+ year leading a small AI/DS team.
• Production AI experience: 2+ years delivering AI-powered applications to production.
• Strong hands-on experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI and AI-powered applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of AI applications from problem definition to production.
• Mentor and manage a team of AI Data Scientists, AI Engineers, and AI/ML Engineers.
• Drive technical reviews, capability development and knowledge sharing across teams.

We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Generative AI, Agentic AI, and AI-powered applications, along with people leadership experience.

#Production AI: 2+ years taking AI-powered applications to production.

• Generative AI & Agentic AI in a commercial environment
• End-to-end delivery of AI applications from problem definition to production
• Prompt Engineering, RAG, Embeddings, Vector Search
• Tool/Function Calling, orchestration, structured outputs & failure handling
• Azure AI services; Copilot Studio / Power Platform experience is desirable
• Strong technical leadership, mentoring and people management.
• Lead and mentor a team of AI Data Scientists, AI Engineers, AI/ML Engineers & AI Solution Engineers
• Balance AI experimentation, strategic delivery, production support and team development
• Build AI capabilities and knowledge-sharing practices across teams
• Drive technical reviews, coaching and capability development
• Collaborate with AI teams across India and the UK
