Job summary

Societe Generale Global Solution Centre in Bengaluru is seeking a senior operations professional to lead and execute Loans/SBLCs processing, monitoring, and related reporting, with involvement in process improvement projects.

You will guide the team, ensure high-quality controls, and coordinate with APAC/EMEA/AMER regions while aligning with regulatory changes and risk management practices. Strong communication and client-focused mindset are essential.

The role incumbent is expected to:

• Knowledge of Financial Products (Especially Loans, Guarantee and Stand by Letter of Credit etc.).
• Through knowledge of syndicated loan documentation
• Full suite of Loan Servicing
• Basic Accounting.

• Knowledge on Credit Risk.
• Guiding the team in right direction to improve individually and to make them contribute for the improvement of the process
• Ensure all the activities handled by the team are delivered with high quality with effective controls
• Continuous monitoring of key business-related activities and effectively document and communicate findings to management
• Follow-up to resolve and validate open issues noted during reviews by internal/external entities
• Align with current developments/policies, procedures and activities appropriate to operations with clear focus towards regulatory/economic changes
• Ensure processes are constantly improving, and participate in change projects

• Operational Excellence:
• o Deliver BAU per set benchmarks/ agreements
• o Monitor/Escalate errors and incidents
• o Identify and drive production efficiencies
• o Monitoring all the below activities handled by the team to ensure better quality, controls are maintained.
• Validating of Deals, Facilities and Outstanding in Loan IQ.
• Review credit agreement to reconcile terms and conditions to deal structure
• Handling of Loan Servicing activities.
• Validating loan participations (new borrowings, increases, rollovers, pay-downs, commitment reductions, transfers)
• Daily transfer of loan proceeds; receipt of funds and matching incoming cash
• Validate Interest and Fee billing for the direct/Agented Loans, billing the customers and send pro-rata shares to the participants.
• Validate notice for breakage fee activity for fax to agent bank; follow-up with traders on rate to be assigned and process accordingly.
• Validate notices of activities to fax to all participants/customers for loan confirmation.
• Handling of Swift Payments.
• Review the reconciliation of positions, discrepancies in Interest and fee payments etc.
• Preparation/posting of manual G/L entries as required.
• Review various system generated reports to ensure proper monitoring of the facilities; investigating past due items, suspense, receivables, expiring SBLC, etc
• Ensure all process requirements are documented fully, appropriately, and sign-off is obtained from all stakeholders periodically

• o Perform permanent supervision controls
• Ensure compliance/regulatory adherence
• Guide the team on complex production issues
• o Indentify scope of improvement and work on the value chain
• o Effectively manage the KRI/KPI
• Risk Management:
• o Identify/Understand operational risks and remediate control gaps
• o Prompt closure of audit/ inspection identified cases
• o Ensure the team is updated on the risk gaps and the same is addressed timely
• o Ensure the process is resilient, Proper backups are maintained within the team
