Job summary
Topgear Consultants invites applications for an Estimation Engineer role in Mysore within our aerospace manufacturing division. You will review RFQs, drawings, specifications, and process requirements to develop accurate cost estimates and timelines.
The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience in aerospace/defence manufacturing, sheet metal, machining, fabrication, and NPI/FAI processes, with a focus on lean improvements and standard time libraries.
Qualifications
- Reviewing RFQs, drawings, specifications & special process requirements
- Preparing cost estimates, manufacturing hours, cycle times & process routes
- Manufacturing feasibility assessment & technology/capability mapping
- Costing for sheet metal, machining, fabrication & aerospace assemblies
- Supporting NPI, FAI approvals & process development
- Driving Lean Manufacturing and cost reduction initiatives
- Developing costing databases and standard time libraries
- Working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality & Business Development teams
Responsibilities
