Job summary

Fluidyne Engineers (india) in Mysuru is seeking an experienced lathe operator to perform turning, facing, boring, threading and related machining tasks on our shop floor. You will read drawings, set up machines, select tools, and ensure dimensional accuracy while meeting production targets.

Candidates should have ITI or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, with 5+ years for senior operators or up to 25 years for regular operators, and must be proficient with Vernier caliper, micrometer, bore gauge

Qualifications

• ITI Fitter / Machinist / Turner preferred.
• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering can also be considered.
• Experience: 25 years for regular operators; 5+ years for senior lathe operators.
• Must be able to read engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of measuring instruments is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate lathe machines for turning, facing, boring, threading, grooving and other machining operations.
• Read and understand engineering drawings and machining dimensions.
• Perform job setting, tool selection and basic machine alignment.
• Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds and depth of cut.

• Check component dimensions during and after machining.
• Handle large/heavy components safely using crane/handling equipment where required.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and perform basic preventive checks.
• Achieve production targets while maintaining dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Follow safety procedures and quality standards.
