Job summary

Bayfield Food Ingredients in Bengaluru is seeking a Lab/Flavour Compounding role to support flavour formulation, sample preparation, and compliance in our Creation Lab. The successful candidate will coordinate with flavourists and QA to ensure proper material handling and regulatory alignment, while maintaining lab standards.

The position involves handling raw materials, preparing and submitting samples, and generating monthly compounding activity reports as part of a fast-paced flavour

Responsibilities

• Compound flavour formulations as requested by the flavourist, in the approved manner, to meet specific customer or in-house project briefs.
• Coordinate with the flavourist and Regulatory Affairs on formulation and regulatory compliance before compounding.
• Evaluate blended samples to obtain approval for sample submission.
• Assist the Application Departments in preparing samples, efficiently and resourcefully, where necessary.
• Acquire raw materials from the production warehouse for compounding, and request samples of new raw materials from affiliates.
• Ensure raw materials in the Sample Lab are stored at the correct temperature and location to safeguard quality and safety.
• Prepare and submit reference samples (raw materials and flavours) requested by QA.
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly working environment in the Creation Lab.
• Keep lab equipment, glassware and apparatus clean after use.
• Maintain a list of standard samples blended in the lab.
• Maintain the Flavour Library.
• Generate a monthly report of compounding activities.
• Comply with all applicable procedures and the legal and other requirements of the organisation.
• Carry out any additional job-related duties assigned from time to time, when and where necessary.
