Job summary

startuphr.consulting is seeking a Laboratory Operations Manager to lead testing activities in a fast-paced lab environment, ensuring timely execution and optimal resource use.

The candidate should have 5-8 years in testing laboratories with BE/BTech, strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, and proven team leadership. You will coordinate with operations, delivery, finance and sales, oversee maintenance, CAPA, calibration and test reporting.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in testing laboratories/quality/environmental testing with exposure to lab operations and team management.
• Good understanding of testing standards, lab operations, and quality systems (ISO/IEC 17025 preferred).

Responsibilities

• Test Activity Management: Plan, schedule, and monitor testing activities to ensure timely execution and optimal resource utilization.
• Customer Coordination: Manage test slot bookings, provide status updates, and handle queries, clarifications, and escalations.
• Program SRF Management: Review and approve SRFs, ensure proper sample tracking, and monitor test programs.
• Internal Coordination: Coordinate with operations, delivery, finance, and sales for smooth execution of test programs.
• Maintenance Management: Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance; coordinate with AMC/service teams.
• Quality Management: Implement and monitor quality objectives; ensure compliance with ISO/IEC and lab quality systems.
• Non-Conformance Handling: Identify, document, and manage non-conforming work; perform root cause analysis and CAPA.
• Calibration Management: Plan and ensure timely calibration of equipment; maintain records and traceability.
• Resource Shift Management: Allocate manpower, manage shifts, ensure availability of skilled resources.
• Test Report Management: Review, verify, and approve test reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Technical Oversight: Guide test setup, execution, troubleshooting, and data recording.
• Performance Training: Identify training needs and evaluate team performance.
• Data Documentation Management: Maintain records, logbooks, and audit readiness.
• Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and safe lab conditions.
• Customer Satisfaction & Issue Resolution: Address customer complaints and ensure timely delivery.
