Job description

The Lab Manager will be responsible for managing diagnostic laboratory operations, staff supervision, quality compliance, sample workflow, reporting timelines, inventory, and customer service coordination. This requires strong laboratory management skills, technical knowledge, quality awareness, and leadership ability. The candidate will ensure efficient lab performance, accurate reporting, and compliance with laboratory standards.

• Manage daily laboratory operations, sample workflow, and reporting timelines.
• Supervise laboratory staff, duty allocation, performance, and discipline.
• Monitor sample processing, pending reports, turnaround time, and quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with GLP, NABL, biosafety, and internal quality standards.
• Coordinate with pathologists, scientific officers, accessioning, logistics, and customer care teams.
• Review QC records, instrument logs, documentation, and operational reports.
• Handle escalations related to sample delays, report errors, or service issues.
• Maintain laboratory inventory, reagent stock, consumables, and equipment readiness.
• Support audits, corrective actions, quality improvement, and compliance activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory performance reports.
• Train and guide staff on SOPs, workflow, safety, and service quality.
• Ensure smooth, accurate, and patient-focused laboratory service delivery.
