Collaboration with multiple engineering teams is essential to keep lab operations smooth. The ideal candidate will have hands-on lab experience and strong knowledge of SMT components, PCB assembly, and procurement coordination.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related technical discipline.
• Hands-on lab experience in Hardware/Electrical/Electronics Lab environment.
• Practical knowledge of soldering/desoldering techniques and SMT components.
• Experience with PCB board assembly and hardware handling.
• Inventory management and procurement coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain day-to-day Hardware/Electrical Lab operations.
• Perform soldering and desoldering of components and PCB assemblies.
• Support PCB board assembly, modification, repair, and basic troubleshooting.
• Work with SMT components and specifications.
• Maintain and track lab inventory including components and tools.
• Coordinate calibration activities for lab equipment.
• Provide hardware-related support to multiple engineering teams.
• Coordinate procurement of components, hardware, tools and materials.
• Work with vendors regarding availability and procurement requirements.
• Organize and maintain lab equipment and workspaces.
• Ensure hardware resources are available to engineering activities.

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Sr. Lab Technician to manage and support day-to-day activities within the Hardware/Electrical Lab. The role will focus on hardware assembly, soldering and desoldering, PCB-related activities, calibration, inventory management, component procurement, and vendor coordination.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of electrical/electronic hardware and be comfortable collaborating with multiple engineering teams to ensure smooth and efficient laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain day-to-day Hardware/Electrical Lab operations .
• Perform soldering and desoldering of electronic components and PCB assemblies.
• Support PCB board assembly , modification, repair, and basic troubleshooting activities.
• Work with and understand SMT components and specifications .
• Maintain and track lab inventory , including electronic components, hardware, tools, and other lab materials.
• Coordinate and support calibration activities for applicable lab equipment and instruments.
• Provide hardware-related support to multiple engineering teams and collaborate effectively on their lab requirements.
• Coordinate the procurement of electronic components, hardware, tools, and lab-related materials .
• Work closely with vendors and suppliers regarding component availability, procurement requirements, and hardware-related needs.
• Support the organization and maintenance of lab equipment, components, and workspaces.
• Help ensure hardware and lab resources are readily available to support engineering activities.

Qualifications/ Skills

• Diploma or Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, or a related technical discipline .
• Hands-on experience working in a Hardware/Electrical/Electronics Lab environment .
• Good practical knowledge of soldering and desoldering techniques .
• Knowledge of SMT components, specifications, and PCB assembly processes .
• Experience with PCB board assembly and hardware handling .
• Experience in inventory management and tracking of electronic components/hardware .
• Familiarity with calibration activities and handling laboratory equipment .
• Experience with electronic component or hardware procurement .
• Good vendor coordination and communication skills .
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple engineering and cross-functional teams .
