Job summary

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT/BMLT) from a recognized institute.
• Valid registration with the relevant paramedical council (if applicable).
• Minimum 1-2 years of relevant work experience preferred, preferably in field/public health settings.
• Strong understanding of basic laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood, urine, sputum, and other clinical specimens as per standard protocols.
• Perform routine diagnostic tests including Hemoglobin, Malaria, Blood Sugar, Pregnancy Test, Urine Routine, etc.
• Ensure proper labeling, handling, and disposal of bio-medical waste.
• Operate and maintain lab instruments such as Hemoglobinometer, Glucometer, Microscope, Centrifuge, etc.
• Perform daily calibration and quality checks of lab equipment.
• Report malfunctioning of equipment and coordinate timely repairs.
• Maintain accurate records of all lab investigations conducted.
• Assist the Medical Officer in compiling daily reports for submission to the project coordinator.
• Ensure confidentiality and data integrity of patient information.
