Job summary

Scientific Pathology is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage the testing operations in a quality-focused laboratory environment. The role emphasizes adherence to standard methods, QMS alignment, and timely delivery of results to customers.

Responsibilities include leading the department, maintaining quality control plans, monitoring critical inputs, inventory management, and ensuring equipment is maintained according to schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a department in line with quality policy and QMS.
• Ability to perform testing as per standard laboratory methods.
• Knowledge of quality control plans and timely corrective actions for nonconforming work.
• Monitoring of critical inputs/purchased supplies per norms.
• Inventory management of critical inputs with stores department coordination.
• Preparation and handover of QC records for validation by manager.
• Timely reporting of critical/alert results to seniors.
• Ensuring test results adhere to turnaround times committed to customers.
• Carrying out in-house equipment maintenance as per schedule and keeping devices in good working order.

• Following quality control plan including control run/ calibration of test parameters and take timely corrective actions for nonconforming testing work, where needed.
• Monitoring status of all critical inputs (purchased supplies) strictly as per norms.
• Managing inventory of all critical inputs in coordination with stores in-charge.
• Handing over all QC records to Technical Manager for validation.
• Informing seniors of critical / alert results as and when observed.
• Ensuring that all test results are generated as per the specified turn around time or time committed to customer.
• Conducting in-house equipment maintenance as per schedule and keep them in up to date working conditions.
