Job summary

GLA University in India is seeking a Lab Technician to manage computer labs and provide basic IT support to students, faculty, and staff. You will ensure smooth operation of labs, install and troubleshoot hardware, software, printers, and projectors, and assist in practical classes and exams.

The role requires a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Computer Science or IT, with 1–3 years of lab management or IT support experience; freshers with relevant skills may also be considered.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in computer lab management or IT support preferred.
• Freshers with relevant technical skills may also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the computer lab and ensure all systems are functional.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot computers, software, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
• Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, LAN/Wi-Fi, and peripheral-related issues.
• Maintain records of IT assets, equipment, repairs, and inventory.
• Support faculty and students during practical classes, examinations, and academic activities.
• Coordinate with the IT team/vendors for unresolved technical issues.
• Ensure compliance with IT security and University policies.
