Job summary

Daimler Truck AG in India seeks an experienced Operations Lead to manage the truck chassis assembly conveyor line, drive SQDCM targets, and build a high-performance team in Sriperumbudur.

You will lead lean initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and manage a unionized workforce while applying 8D, A3, PDCA and TPM techniques to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile or Mechatronics.
• 5–7 years of experience in operations.
• Experience in managing conveyor line operations and unionized workforce.

Responsibilities

• Lead truck chassis assembly conveyor line operations and achieve SQDCM targets.
• Drive Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S and TPM initiatives.
• Lead and develop supervisors, team leaders and operators to build a high-performance culture.
• Manage industrial relations and handle a unionized workforce, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Lead structured problem-solving using 8D, A3, PDCA, 5 Why, Fishbone, TQM and Root Cause Analysis.

The role is responsible for maintaining operational excellence, driving productivity, and fostering a high-performance culture while effectively managing unionized workforces.

Responsibilities

• Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and TPM initiatives.

• Manage industrial relations and effectively handle a unionized workforce, employee grievances, and disciplinary matters.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Logistics, and Engineering teams to ensure smooth operations.
