Job summary

Michael Page is seeking an experienced Enterprise Backup Infrastructure Architect for Hyderabad. You will lead design, build, and governance of hybrid backup environments, ensuring DR readiness and compliance across on-prem and cloud platforms.

The role requires 9+ years in enterprise backup management with expertise in Commvault, Azure Backup, and Veeam, plus strong scripting skills to automate operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelors / Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 9+ years of experience in enterprise back up infrastructure management.
• Expert knowledge of Commvault architecture, Azure Backup and Veeam B&R and Cloud Connect
• Strong understanding of storage, virtualization, and networking.
• Proven experience with multi-petabyte, cross-region environments.
• Scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash) for automation.

Responsibilities

• Leads the build, optimization, and governance of enterprise back up infrastructure across hybrid environments.
• Drives automation, DR testing, and service improvement initiatives for backup and restore platforms.
• Design and implement global back up and recovery strategies.
• Manage and optimize CommServe, Media Agents, Azure backup Vaults and Veeam repositories.
• Responsible of Immutability rules enforcement
• Lead upgrades, capacity planning, and DR exercises.
• Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs.
• Perform RCA for major incidents and recommend preventive measures.
• Integ rate on-prem and cloud backup solutions
• Ensure compliance with security, retention, and regulatory standards.
• Mentor and guide L1.5/ L2 engineers
