Job summary

IMPRESSION MAKERS is seeking a Network Engineer L3 in Navi Mumbai. The role requires 4–7+ years of experience with enterprise networking, routing and switching, and Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela).

You will provide L3 support for complex incidents, design, implement and optimize routing and switching infrastructure, and manage SD-WAN components. The position is on-site with six days of work per week.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7+ years of networking experience.
• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela).
• Strong knowledge of routing protocols and enterprise networks.

Responsibilities

• Provide L3 technical support for complex network incidents.
• Design, implement and troubleshoot routing and switching infrastructure.
• Configure OSPF, EIGRP and BGP; manage VLANs, STP/RSTP and inter-VLAN routing.
• Handle SD-WAN including vManage, vSmart, vBond, and WAN Edge devices.

Roles Responsibilities

• Provide L3 technical support for complex network incidents, service disruptions and performance issues.
• Design, implement, configure and troubleshoot enterprise-level routing and switching infrastructure.
• Configure, tune and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols including OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting of VLAN, VPC, VDC, VRF, STP/RSTP, inter-VLAN routing and switching-related issues.
• Manage and troubleshoot static routes, route redistribution, prefix lists, route maps and routing policies.
• Analyze routing tables, packet flows and traffic patterns to identify network bottlenecks, routing loops and performance issues.
• Handle complex incidents escalated from L1/L2 teams and provide root-cause analysis and permanent resolution.
• Perform network capacity planning, performance tuning and optimization to improve availability and convergence.
• Configure, implement, monitor and troubleshoot Cisco Viptela SD-WAN infrastructure, including vManage, vSmart, vBond, WAN Edge devices, tunnels, VPNs, templates and centralized policies.
• Troubleshoot SD-WAN control-plane and data-plane connectivity, overlay tunnels, routing, application performance and policy-related issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot MPLS, IPsec/SSL VPN and SD-WAN technologies.
• Configure, troubleshoot and support firewall connectivity, policies and network security-related issues.
• Perform configuration, upgrades, firmware updates and replacement activities for Cisco routers, Nexus/Catalyst switches and related network devices.
• Lead and execute network changes, migrations, hardware replacements and maintenance activities with minimal service disruption.
• Participate in network design, implementation and technology refresh projects.
• Develop and maintain network documentation, HLD/LLD, topology diagrams, configuration standards and troubleshooting procedures.
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major incidents and implement preventive/corrective actions.
• Coordinate with ISPs, OEMs, vendors and internal teams for complex network issues and service restoration.
• Ensure assigned Viptela SD-WAN/network infrastructure at the client site is configured, tested, optimized and operational.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to L1/L2 network engineers.
• Ensure compliance with change management, incident management and network security processe
