Job description

Job Description:
Knowledge Management Associate

Location: Gurgaon, Haryana, India

Experience: 3–5 years

About the Company

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global professional services firm known for entrepreneurial, action-oriented professionals who take a hands‑on approach to solving complex client problems. Its culture is guided by Integrity, Quality, Objectivity, Fun, Personal Reward, and Inclusive Diversity. In 2023, A&M established a Global Capability Center in India to expand specialized talent, accelerate delivery, enable automation, and support global business units across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. The Gurgaon‑based center partners with consulting case teams on end‑to‑end delivery and thought leadership rather than operating as a traditional back‑office function. It brings together consulting and industry professionals across sectors including Consumer & Retail, Healthcare, Software & Technology, Automotive & Industrials, Hospitality & Leisure, Energy & Natural Resources, and Financial Services. The center is growing rapidly and already has more than 900 team members.

About the Role

Own the quality, usability, and adoption of knowledge management content and SharePoint Online solutions supporting A&M’s consulting business. You will work within the Global AI and Knowledge Innovation Organization alongside KM Business Partners to translate business needs into structured sites, pages, lists, workflows, and user‑facing documentation. The role combines SharePoint Online creation, development, and administration with content governance, document tagging, document sanitization, testing, rollout, and hypercare support. You will coordinate with stakeholders across business units, maintain clear action tracking, and ensure knowledge products remain accurate, discoverable, and aligned with evolving processes and platform capabilities. This is a hands‑on role for a polished communicator who can work independently, manage competing priorities, and improve the way practitioners access knowledge and AI‑enabled tools. Candidates must bring relevant experience from an MBB firm, Big Four organization, or another professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own SharePoint Online site, page, and list creation, development, administration, and maintenance, applying consistent information architecture, navigation, permissions, usability, and visual standards.
  • Govern knowledge content through accurate document tagging, sanitization, organization, metadata maintenance, and quality checks that improve discoverability, reuse, compliance, and practitioner confidence.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing for new KM tools and platform features by preparing test plans, tracking defects, consolidating feedback, and driving issues toward resolution.
  • Enable successful rollouts through clear user guides, process documentation, stakeholder communications, and responsive hypercare support that increases adoption and reduces operational friction.
  • Support KM Business Partners with stakeholder meetings by managing schedules, preparing materials, recording decisions, tracking actions, and maintaining transparent follow‑through across initiatives.
  • Build trusted relationships with consulting business units, senior stakeholders, and KM colleagues, translating requirements into practical solutions while keeping delivery risks, dependencies, and priorities visible.
  • Contribute beyond immediate responsibilities when needed, adapting quickly to shifting timelines and helping the wider KM team deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes.
Essential Skills & Technologies
  • Advanced hands‑on capability in SharePoint Online creation, development, and administration is mandatory, including site and page design, list maintenance, navigation, structure, and content management.
  • Practical experience with document tagging, metadata, document sanitization, content organization, quality assurance, user acceptance testing, process documentation, and rollout or hypercare support is required.
  • Strong Microsoft 365 capability and polished English communication are essential, with the ability to explain information clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences and engage senior stakeholders.
  • Professional services experience from an MBB firm, Big Four organization, or comparable professional services employer is mandatory for this role.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, judgment, problem‑solving, prioritization, and follow‑through are required to manage multiple knowledge initiatives independently.
  • Salesforce exposure and additional languages such as Portuguese, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, or Korean would be beneficial but are not required.
Additional Plus
  • Experience supporting AI‑enabled knowledge tools, digital workplace platforms, or enterprise content initiatives would strengthen your ability to contribute to GAIKO’s innovation agenda.
  • SharePoint information architecture, governance, permissions, workflow, or adoption‑focused experience would help improve the consistency and scalability of KM solutions.
  • Exposure to consulting case delivery, thought leadership, or cross‑geography stakeholder environments would be useful when translating business needs into practical knowledge products.
What You’ll Bring
  • You bring three to five years of experience in knowledge management, content management, digital workplace administration, or a related professional services environment, ideally from an MBB firm, Big Four organization, or comparable professional services organization. SharePoint Online is a non‑negotiable capability: you should be able to create, develop, administer, and maintain sites, pages, and lists rather than only update existing content.
  • You have practical experience with document tagging, document sanitization, content organization, metadata, and quality assurance, and you understand how disciplined governance improves searchability, reuse, and trust. You are comfortable facilitating UAT, consolidating feedback, documenting processes, supporting launches, and providing structured hypercare.
  • Your communication is polished, concise, and confident across technical and non‑technical audiences, including senior stakeholders. You organize work rigorously, close actions reliably, surface risks early, and remain adaptable when priorities or timelines shift.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Technology, Library Science, or a related field supports your ability to connect business requirements with practical platform solutions. You work independently while keeping collaborators informed and contributing positively beyond your immediate remit.
Why Join Us
  • Join a growing global capability center where knowledge management directly supports consulting case delivery, thought leadership, AI enablement, and practitioner productivity across major markets.
  • Work alongside KM Business Partners and global stakeholders on visible initiatives that combine SharePoint administration, content governance, adoption, and emerging knowledge technologies.
  • Build a broader consulting‑services career through formal training, on‑the‑job learning, performance development, and exposure to diverse industries, geographies, and business units.
What We Offer
  • A collaborative, entrepreneurial environment that values independent thinking, practical problem‑solving, inclusive diversity, and measurable impact on clients and internal practitioners.
  • Structured performance development, formal training, on‑the‑job learning, and opportunities to build technical and professional capabilities while progressing your career.
  • Well‑being benefits and personal support resources designed to help employees thrive professionally and personally within a high‑growth global organization.
