We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Key Account & Channel Manager to drive growth through key accounts, dealers, resellers and retail channels. You will build customer relationships, identify new business opportunities, drive sell-out initiatives and ensure strong execution at the point of sale.
You will work closely with key account buyers, dealers, resellers, retail outlets and promoters to understand market needs, develop appropriate sales support and improve product visibility and sell-out. You will collaborate with the distributor on specific agreed sales programs and market initiatives only.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Key Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, buyers and key decision makers.
- Meet buyers and account representatives regularly to understand business needs, challenges and opportunities.
- Develop account-specific sales initiatives, promotions and support programs to grow sales and sell-out.
- Coordinate commercial and marketing support, including POSM, displays and other retail support.
- Monitor account performance, follow up on agreed actions and identify opportunities to increase distribution, visibility and sales.
2. Dealer & Reseller Channel Management
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with dealers, resellers and individual retail stores.
- Conduct regular store visits to review sales performance, customer feedback and channel needs.
- Work with dealers and resellers on POSM, displays, fixtures, promotions and other sales support.
- Improve merchandising, in-store execution and product visibility.
- Develop and implement store-level and channel sales programs that increase sell-out and performance.
3. Business Development
- Identify and develop new sales channels, dealers, resellers and points of sale, and expand coverage through new stores, outlets and retail locations.
- Develop and execute practical plans to support new channel and point-of-sale development.
- Identify opportunities to expand emerging categories and drive growth across new product categories.
- Maintain regular communication with promoters and brief them on products, promotions and sales initiatives.
- Monitor promoter performance, product knowledge and execution at retail outlets, and support initiatives that improve promoter effectiveness and overall retail execution.
- Conduct market visits and research to understand customer preferences, market trends, competitor activity, pricing and market conditions.
- Consolidate market intelligence from promoters, outlets, dealers, resellers and key accounts.
- Identify actionable market issues and opportunities, and share recommendations with the management team.
5. Sales Program Execution with Distributor
- Work closely with the distributor to execute agreed sales programs, campaigns and market activities across key accounts, dealers and retail outlets.
- Coordinate required support, including stock availability, campaign materials and outlet execution.
- Track sales program results and provide feedback and recommendations for future initiatives.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales or a related field.
- Proven experience in sales, key account management, channel management, business development or a similar role; experience with key accounts, dealers, resellers or retail channels is preferred.
- Strong understanding of retail sales, sell-out and point-of-sale execution.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant sales or CRM tools.
- Strong sales and business development mindset with commercial awareness.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with buyers, dealers, retailers and promoters.
- Strong negotiation, presentation and influencing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn market observations into practical sales initiatives.
- Channel development and retail execution capability.
- Initiative, ownership and reliable follow-up; self-motivated and comfortable working independently in the field.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with distributors and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel and conduct regular market and outlet visits.
