Job summary

WisdomWood High invites a Kannada Teacher (Pre-Primary & Primary) to join our Bengaluru campuses, with willingness to relocate to Goa and Nagaland.

The role focuses on designing engaging Kannada lessons, using storytelling, phonics, and tech-enabled teaching. Candidates should hold a B.A. in Kannada and B.Ed., with at least 2 years of early childhood or primary experience, and be fluent in Kannada and English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Kannada (B.A.) and B.Ed. – TGT qualified.
• Minimum 2 years teaching experience with early childhood/primary students.
• Native or bilingual proficiency in Kannada with strong English communication.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver age-appropriate Kannada lesson plans for Pre-Primary and Primary students.
• Introduce listening, speaking, reading and basic writing using storytelling, rhymes, phonics and play-based activities.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages children to express themselves in Kannada.
• Evaluate student progress through continuous formative assessments and provide feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and language department for curriculum alignment.

The ideal candidate will foster a love for the Kannada language in our youngest learners through interactive, culturally rich, and technology-enabled classrooms.

• Design and deliver age-appropriate, engaging Kannada lesson plans for Pre-Primary and Primary students.
• Introduce the fundamentals of the Kannada language (listening, speaking, reading, and basic writing) using creative methods like storytelling, rhymes, phonics, and play-based activities.
• Create a vibrant, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment that encourages young learners to express themselves confidently in Kannada.
• Evaluate student progress through continuous formative assessments and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with co-teachers and the language department to ensure curriculum alignment.

Technology Integration (Google Reference School Initiative):

• Actively utilize Google Workspace for Education (Google Classroom, Slides, Docs, interactive whiteboards) to enhance language learning.
• Design digital resources, interactive language games, and multimedia presentations tailored for early learners.
• Participate enthusiastically in the school’s digital transformation journey.
• Bonus: Willingness to train for and achieve Google Certified Educator (Level 1 & Level 2) status.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Kannada (B.A.) and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) – TGT qualified.
• Experience: A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, specifically working with early childhood or primary school students.
• Language Proficiency: Native or bilingual proficiency in Kannada with strong communication skills in English.
