Job summary

EazyIoT in Mumbai is seeking a Junior Software Developer passionate about building scalable applications, collaborating with senior developers and cross-functional teams to develop, test, debug and maintain software for the IoT ecosystem.

You will implement features, write maintainable code, understand existing codebases, develop and consume REST APIs, and participate in code reviews while growing your skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms, OOP and software development concepts.
• Understanding of REST APIs, databases and Git/version control.
• Basic knowledge of web or backend development.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Exposure to IoT, embedded systems, cloud platforms or connected devices is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test and maintain software applications and features as per business and technical requirements.

We are looking for a Junior Software Developer who is passionate about software development and eager to build practical, scalable and reliable applications. You will work closely with senior developers and cross-functional teams to develop, test, debug and maintain software applications supporting EazyIoT's IoT and connected-device ecosystem.

• Develop, test and maintain software applications and features as per business and technical requirements.
• Write clean, efficient and maintainable code.
• Work on new features, enhancements and bug fixes under the guidance of senior developers.

• Work with relational or NoSQL databases for application development.
• Write basic queries and manage application data.
• Develop and consume REST APIs.
• Understand data flow between applications, backend systems and connected devices.
• Coordinate with senior developers, hardware/embedded teams, QA and other stakeholders.
• Understand technical requirements and convert them into development tasks.
• Maintain basic technical documentation for developed features.
• Participate in team meetings, sprint planning and project discussions.
• Stay updated with relevant software development technologies and best practices.
• Learn new frameworks, tools and technologies as required by projects.

Requirements

• 0–2 years of experience in software development; freshers with strong programming fundamentals may also be considered.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of Data Structures & Algorithms, OOP and software development concepts.
• Understanding of REST APIs, databases and Git/version control.
• Basic knowledge of web or backend development.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
